Reverend Lee Thomas
Being the pastor at Olivet brings me great joy, and I continue to be humbled by the incredible love shown to my family and to me since we arrived here almost 13 years ago. The saints of Olivet are surely some of the best to ever walk this earth.
Early in life, I fell in love with music. The Lord used music in my upbringing and throughout my life to shape my faith and lead me in worship. If you attend Olivet, you will occasionally find me at the piano or organ. And you’ll surely hear quotes from hymn lyrics or old gospel songs. God has put a love for His Word and His people in my heart. I truly enjoy being together with our church family on Sunday mornings and other times when we gather together.
I also love spending time with my family at home. We are grateful for the good life we have together. At our house, we especially enjoy watching football and basketball games. My wife (Amy) and I have also become enthusiastic fans of the Wilson Memorial High School Hornets and George Mason University Patriots where our daughters are currently attending school.
My ultimate goal is to continuously grow in Christ while always being ready to share His love and grace with others in the church, at a ball game, or wherever I am. If you are thinking of coming to visit us at Olivet, I hope you’ll do so soon. Here you will find God’s people in joyful worship, and an imperfect man preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
